Whistler Village
Famous for its skiing and the venue for the 2010 Winter Olympics, this ski resort boasts excellent facilities and stunning mountainous vistas year-round. Guests can optionally take the recently completed Peak 2 Peak gondola, which started operating in December 2008, to ascend over 2,200 feet to the summits of Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain. You can also leisurely shop or dine in the charming Whistler Village, often dubbed a little Switzerland, and experience the rich European atmosphere of this alpine town.
The Peak 2 Peak gondola is a significant attraction in Whistler, connecting Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain. It began operating in 2008 and holds the record for the longest unsupported cable span in the world. (In case of Peak 2 Peak gondola maintenance, an alternative visit to the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish will be arranged, offering panoramic views of the Chief Rock and the Sea to Sky Highway from an elevation of over 850 meters.)
