Lions Gate Bridge
The Lions Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge located in the Canadian province of British Columbia, spanning the first narrows of Burrard Inlet. It connects downtown Vancouver with the North Shore municipalities of North Vancouver, West Vancouver, and the District of North Vancouver. The bridge has a total length of 1,517.3 meters, with tower heights of 111 meters and a clearance of 61 meters above sea level. It is part of British Columbia Highways 1A and 99, serving as a crucial transportation artery in the Greater Vancouver area and a prominent landmark of the city. The name of the bridge comes from the twin peaks of the North Shore Mountains, known as "The Lions."
